Our analysis from specs, price and published reviews. Not hands-on.

Built from Brother's product and label roll pages, checked Oct 9, 2026.

A fast USB label printer for address and small shipping labels up to 2.4 in wide. It cannot take 4 x 6 in shipping labels, and that settles it for most sellers.

Who it fits

Fits you if

  • You print address or return labels in batches: up to 93 per minute
  • You want a USB label printer for $124.99
  • Your labels are 2.4 in wide or narrower

Skip it if

  • You need 4 x 6 in shipping labels: the maximum label width is 2.4 in
  • You want wireless printing: the only listed interface is USB

Your options

How to spend less and get more out of it

  • Check a roll's "For use with" list before buying: Brother lists the 4 in rolls DK-1241 and DK-1247 for the QL-1050, 1060N, 1100 and 1110NWB, not the QL-800.
  • For address and small shipping labels, DK-1202 die-cut (300 for $25.99) costs 8.7¢ a label.
  • For odd sizes, use DK-2205 continuous tape (100 ft for $25.99); the auto cutter cuts each label to length.
  • Black-and-red printing needs DK-2251 tape. A starter roll comes in the box, so try it before buying more.
  • On Windows, Plug & Label prints basic labels without installing software; P-touch Editor (Windows and Mac) handles custom layouts.

Verdict: Skip unless…

Skip unless your labels fit 2.4 in. Brother lists 2.4 in DK label rolls at $25.99 (checked Oct 9, 2026).
